FARENDAHA
For the first time in the year 1998, the work of excavation was started at Chundgram which is located in Farendhan. During that excavation many evidences like ancient well and old brick and clay idols of Lord Buddha were found inside the pond etc. All these evidences were handed over to the Archaeological Department.Again in the year 2007, a tourist building was constructed which is known as “Buddha Kalin Buddhasthal”.After talking to the elders and elite people in Chundgram (Faredahan), it came to know that during the digging of the adjacent pond, the clay idol of Lord Buddha was found.
